Newtown Dream Dog Park: one of the Top dog parks in the country! Newtown Dream Dog Park is located inside Newtown Park close to the front entrance. Features walking trail, one acre in size, water drinking stations, separate areas for small and large dogs, shelter, artificial turf, benches, sprinklers located around a spraying hydrant, bridge, hoops and tunnels.

Ocee Park: features two playgrounds, 37 acres of jogging/walking track, four picnic pavilions, two basketball courts, two sand volleyball courts, batting cages, two tennis courts, eight lit softball/baseball fields and one T-ball field.

Shakrag Park: features 66 acres with jogging/walking track, three picnic pavilions, 3.8 acre lake, playground, three large multi-purpose athletic fields, community room (located in the fire station next door) and restrooms.

Autrey Mill Nature Preserve & Heritage Center: over two miles of waling trails and 46 acres of forest, park grounds, historic buildings, trails, picnic areas and lots of history! Park grounds are open daily from 8am until dusk with the Visitor Center open Monday to Saturday 10am-4pm. Programs, classes and camps are also provided at the Autry Mill Nature Preserve & Heritage Center.

Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area: one of our national parks here local to Johns Creek. This 48 mile long section of the Chattahoochee Rivers spans all the way from Lake Lanier Dam to to Peachtree Creek located near downtown Atlanta. Five of the units are located locally in Johns Creek with some offering boat launches, picnic areas and more: Jones Bridge Unit, McGinnis Ferry Unit, Abbotts Bridge Unit, Suwanee Creek and Medlock Bridge Unit.
