  • Alpharetta Big Creek Greenway

    Located in the heart of the city, this urban oasis features a 12-foot-wide paved trail that stretches eight miles before joining a 1.5 mile loop. Along the way are creeks, woodland, and natural sceneries where numerous plant, bird, and wildlife species thrive.

  • Wills Park

    This 110-acre park offers myriad activities, including horseback riding and equestrian events. The Wills Park Equestrian Center covers 50 acres of fields and woods for riding, as well as horse stalls, an event lawn, a covered arena, and four outside rings. In addition to these, Wills Park is home to a 1.8-mile walking trail that spans the equestrian center and Wills Park Arboretum, a natural museum featuring native Southeastern United States tree species.

  • Webb Bridge Park

    Located north of North Point mall, Webb Bridge Park offers a wooded 1.4- mile hiking and walking trail where you can take your dog on a leash. The park also houses a playground, soccer and baseball fields, tennis courts, and a picnic area.

  • Alpharetta North Park

    This scenic 82-acre park boasts a mile-long paved walking trail suitable for people of all ages. It features several softball fields for children and adults, a soccer field, a playground, picnic area, and the Senior Activity Center and Arts and Crafts Building, which offer various activities such as art lessons and duplicate bridge.

Alpharetta boasts 5 distinct shopping districts:

  • Avalon

    Encompassing 86 acres, this mixed-use development is a luxurious hub that offers the finest urban amenities, including high-end and popular retail shops and restaurants housed in over 500,000 square feet of land. The development also includes a 12-screen cinema complex, Class A office spaces, and upscale residences. Since its opening in 2014, Avalon has become the locals’ favorite weekend destination.

  • Historic Downtown Alpharetta

    A wide scale redevelopment program has transformed the downtown area into a dynamic commercial and residential district. The program’s centerpiece is the Alpharetta City Center, a 25-acre mixed use development that encompasses the New City Hall, the new Fulton County Library, and over five acres of parks and public green spaces. It is home to numerous restaurants and retail spaces, as well as luxury residences and first-class office spaces.
